Second Nature Nursery presents baby Aiden, reborn from a 16inch Berenguer ''Sucky Lip'' sculpt

Aiden started off as the lovely Berenguer ''Sucky Lip''. He has been reborn by Artists Charlotte Mather and Helen Stephenson, the mother and daughter team here at Second Nature Nursery. Starting with stripping his factory paint and having a long soak to remove all residues. Aiden was then painted with very thin layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints. Each layer laid down with a mottled effect in transparent skin tones. The effect is that of real skin that changes in the light. All detail was added between layers and Genesis is heat set so it is permanent and lightfast.

Aiden's hair is handrooted with beautifully soft Mohair in a baby brown colour with highlights of honey blond, it is sparse to represent such a tiny preemie and mulit-tonal much like real hair. He also has hand rooted eyelashes that frame those sweetly sleeping eyes so perfectly. All his hair is double sealed on the inside to allow it to be gently brushed and styled by his new mummy.

No detail has been overlooked, from Aiden's freshly clipped nails to his carefully picked outfit. His nails and lips have been triple sealed with Satin varnish for protection, see how natural they look. He comes to his new mummy in the outfit he wears from Vertbaudet with a birth certificate and baby blanket.

Aiden has been filled and weighted using poly pellets and fibre fill in his limbs, Glass beads in his head and the wonderfully squidgy ''Baby Fat'' in his torso. He feels just like a new baby, his head will need supporting gently and he is cuddly to hold, you won't want to put this little one down!!
